Frequently Asked Questions

What does “ready-to-eat IQF” mean, and how is it different from canned or dried ingredients?

“IQF” stands for Individually Quick Frozen. Seenergy Foods’ legumes, grains and rice are fully cooked, flash-frozen and portioned, so they can be used straight from the freezer without soaking or cooking. Unlike canned or dried ingredients, there’s no draining or pre-prep required—just thaw the amount you need and add it to your recipe.

What pack sizes are available, and what is the minimum order quantity?

We offer portion bags from 10 oz to 6 lb, foodservice cases from 24 to 45 lb and industrial totes up to 1,500 lbs Minimum order quantities vary by product and packaging; please contact our sales team for specifics.

Are your products certified Organic, Kosher and Non-GMO?

Yes. Many of our beans, grains and rice are available as Organic and conventional options. All products are Non-GMO, and most are produced under COR 579 Kosher certification in our GFSI/HACCP-approved facility.

What is the shelf life and recommended storage temperature?

Our IQF legumes, grains and rice have an 18-month shelf life when stored at –18 °C (0 °F) or below. Always keep unopened bags frozen and reseal any opened bags tightly to minimise moisture ingress.

Do you offer custom blends or private-label options?

Absolutely. In addition to the standard blends outlined on our site, we work with customers to develop custom seasonings, ingredient ratios and private-label packaging. Minimums apply, but we can scale from retail pack sizes to bulk totes.

How do you ensure allergen control and prevent cross-contamination?

Our facility follows strict GFSI/HACCP protocols. Products are processed on dedicated lines to minimise cross-contact, and allergen swabs are run between production runs. Certificates of analysis are available for each batch upon request.
